Hi, I suffer from blepharospasm and also have spasms in the rest of my face and my neck. I have been having botox for just over a year now with little success, I wondered if anyone else had this problem and if they have was there an alternative treatment? Also I love the idea of the forum, and am sure I will use it frequently. |

Hi Gill, Pleased you liked the forum. Iam afraid i will also have to agree with you in that, Botox injections have not been working for me either. I was on them for about 18 months and i had little response i actually thought it was getting worse. But i experimented and game off them, but not having it for about 4 months now, i think i have seen the raw of the condition, which iam sure you know is very unpleasent. Iam due to try a new one a few weeks. Regarding other treatments i sadly dont know of any others i seem to be just trying different pain killers all the time. May i ask you where your from? http://scoliosis.meetup.com/46/ |

HI Helen, this message may appear twice, I have posted it once already btu it didn't appear so doing again. Sorry I have only just noticed your reply. I am from Consett in Co Durham. I have had another course of botox since my message and ahve had a slight improvement which I find very encouraging!! LIke you I felt the botox was actually making me worse for the first 12 months but this last treatment as I said has encouraged me greatly! I hope your next treatment goes well too. Where are you from? |
