Hello to all fellow dystonics i had botox about 3 weeks back for cervical & hemi-facial but no relief as yet & in fact mouth & neck seem to pull more than ever. Exhausted! Is there anything else I can try? |

Daer Gerry, You do not mention how long you have been getting your injections for. Although most folk feel benefits from injection in the first 7-14 days, it does take a full month to reach its optimum so perhaps it might still work for you. O the otherhand if this is your first injection it is possible there may not be much effect as the dose is usually started at a lower level and built up gradually. Sorry this is not a positive answer for you dystonia sufferers can all sympathise and feel what you must be going through at present but hang in there and keep pursuing your GP for help as there are other drugs that may help too. Not to mention building GP awareness of dystonia at the same time. |
