My grandmother Effie Brown taught school in Alton years and years ago... (1950's?) I have at least one picture of her and the Alton school kids under her. Would love to correspond and hear stories from anyone who was a student under her. I grew up in Eckerty, but have been in Illinois since 1987, a teacher myself. |

Mrs Brown ywas one of my first teachers and i have some photos of her if i can find them. I happen to own the old school building where she taught. Sorry i never replyed sooner but just checked the messages. charlie |
