Great news from earlier this year (April, 2007). David Wright, Supervisor of Big Prairie Township, sent an email to me about plans for restoring the township property in what was once the middle of the old Big Prairie. Here's what he had to say . . . "I started about a year ago, with Board approval, writing a Grant through N.R.C.S to restore the 40 acres of Prairie that we own, and have every hope of starting a $38,000.00 grant this spring to remove invasive species and restore the prairie over the next 6 years.
