The people of Sydney want a Desal plant so will you morons tuck your heads in and shut-up we are sick to death of minority groups that have hidden agenders, wrecking it for every one else. We all know the real reason that you oppose the desal and that is purely profit driven. It has nothing to do with the enviroment or you would all be there at the Caltex refinery protesting at their gates as well.

This forum is the perfect place to put the argument for the desal plant. Please give us a good reason why the tax payers should pay for water supplied by private enterprise and continue to pay if the dams are full or not.It might also be good to read the Facts on this site and also the facts from every expert in the country who all oppose this stupid idea.

Kurnell is the ideal and only location. The greater Sydney does need this Desal and as well as water harvesting, recycling and the use of water tanks. Yes we need all of the above to insure a reliable water supply for ourselves and future generations. Sydney cannot be patronised and held for ransom by the few minority groups anymore.

Dear Ricky: People with low self-esteem and lack of arguments resort to using offensive words such as morons and minority and the only thing they are doing is to portray themselves. Labor leaders chose to give the “good news” from overseas to cover the poor commitment they have to the people of NSW and to avoid being asked questions that would show their ignorance. Mr. Iemma said if dam levels were below 30% the desalination plant would go ahead, levels are now above 55%, so why the back flip? Is Big Brother asking him to keep Mr. Carr’s promise? Ask yourself now, who has the agenda? Who is not being honest? Who is hiding and not talking to the people, specifically Kurnell’s residents? We have been told that we need it, regardless whether it is a white elephant or not. By the way, I am sure that the people of Kurnell do not have an agenda with regards to the Caltex Oil Refinery, only NSW governments have, allowing the refinery to settle and stay at the wrong place, a historical one, the “Birthplace of Modern Australia”.

Is that right Rodger ? well not matter how hard you try to sway away from the real issues that I have highlighted and turn this into a personal attack on me, it will not lessen my argument that Sydney is AGAIN being railroaded by the outspoken minority, we are sick to the gills of being patronised into submission by the likes of you. Your false claims that the desal will be a blight on the local enviroment is now exposed to be nothing but a farse and totaly based on scare tactics. Look at the facts Rodger..it will be powered by 100% green energy. Enviromentaly speaking it's got alot more going for it than that Refinary. So why dont you all devote all your energy protesting about Caltex ?? one has to wonder. It is just a joke for the residents of Kurnel to use the enviroment card.

Ricky I would like to ask you what suburb you live in? If you are all for a desalination plant perhaps you could offer your backyard for this project you believe in so much...
