After attending the conference, the decision to pursue a PhD was an easy one. Getting a presentable GMAT score was a little tough. Getting the application packages together was even more problemsome than the GMAT. However, this wait...omg it's about to drive me crazy. I would love to hear from others how they handled "the wait", especially from those that "the wait" ended positively :-).

Different schools have different deadlines. From my experience the deadlines are soft, at a lot of schools so they accept applications a few weeks after to posted deadline and wait on letters of rec.. One vote of encouragement, is that rejections came before the acceptances. It varies from year to year. We have several masters students that have applied this year, and have not heard back yet. There is a relatively small number of students but everyone is applying to the same programs. It takes some time for everyone to choose. The year I applied the top schools were slow to respond, so everyone was delayed since people we holding spots at back-up schools. Don’t be discouraged, you may want to send an email to some of the program coordinators to see where they are at in the process.
