Hello all, I am a new professional with an undergraduate degree in Accounting and am interested in the PhD program. Is there an outlet for individuals who are not yet PhD candidates to learn more about the project and network with members other than the national convention for applicants? |

Jasmine, I think you could (probably) contact any member who’s attending a school in your area and I’m sure they would be happy to discuss their PhD program experiences or provide advice, networking etc. |

You should make every attempt to attend the PhD Project Conference in Chicago. It is a great setting to get information about the career. I did not get a chance to attend it until after I started my program. There is information about this on the PhD Project main Homepage |

Jasmine-- I am a staff member of The PhD Project and agree with Bob that you should attend The PhD Project November Conference. You can access the application by visiting the website, www.phdproject.org. The deadline for applications is October 19, 2007. It has proven to be beneficial for those that have attended. http://www.phdproject.org |
