I will be attending Ole Miss this fall and have received an assistantship from the University. However, there seems to be very few funding/fellowship opportunities outside of the University for Management Information Systems majors. MIS is not usually considered a technical degree since it is under the business school (per SREB and AGEM fellowships). Does anyone know of any financial resources for minority MIS majors? http://www.lakisha.thesimmonsfamily.org |

Actually, I encourage you to try through SREB. As a CIS major I was able to secure a scholarship through them and I know of a Marketing major who also was able to do so. Also, depending on your particular research area you may be able to find funds from related foundations. Search based on research topic/area instead of just MIS. Good luck! |
