During the last year of my doctoral program I started working feverishly on finding a great teaching job. To maximize my exposure I used my professional association, but also used Academic Careers Online. The universities and colleges that use them to advertise their job openings are very committed to hiring diverse faculty and staff members. And, as an applicant I could use all the applicant services of www.AcademicCareers.com for free so I posted a resume and requested email alerts.
