The Department of Management and Marketing in the Franklin P. Perdue School of Business at Salisbury University (SU) is accepting applications for a tenure-track position in Management at the Assistant Professor rank, beginning August 2008. Qualifications: Ph.D. degree in a Management-related field from an AACSB accredited institution (or ABD nearing completion of dissertation) is required with evidence of or potential for high quality teaching and research. We seek candidates with capabilities in at least two of the following fields: Strategic Management, Entrepreneurship, International Business, and Human Resource Management. Candidates are expected to be able to use effective teaching and classroom management strategies which enhance the success of diverse learners. The Perdue School of Business emphasizes experiential learning, so business experience is a plus. About the Perdue School: One of four schools in Salisbury University, the Perdue School has 51 full-time faculty and nearly 1,700 declared majors. The Management and Marketing Department is the largest of four departments in the school. The Perdue School offers undergraduate degrees in Accounting, Business Administration (with specializations available in Finance, Management, Marketing Management, Economics, and International Business), Economics, and Management Information Systems. Both undergraduate and graduate programs are accredited by AACSB. We expect to break ground on a new Perdue School building next academic year. About the University: Founded in 1925, Salisbury University is one of 13 institutions that compose the University System of Maryland. Salisbury University is a selective undergraduate institution within the University System of Maryland. The University is close to ocean beaches and the Chesapeake Bay and 2-3 hours from the metropolitan areas of Washington, Baltimore, Philadelphia and Norfolk. SU has approximately 7,600 students and 360 full-time instructional faculty. Appointment Information: The normal teaching load is 9 hours per semester.
