Did you wipe from history any thing that happened to Homerton FC pre 2002? Where's big Pip Gray in the hall of fame? Paul 'Doris' Kerridge? Carl Whitley? Also , Micky T first 2nds captain?!? That was me in 1998!! And I scored the 1st goal and got the first red card (and the second!) Please update ASAP, or else! )Oh, and JPT is not big or aggressive! And he scored 27 goals in 4 years (his words not mine!)

Here, here, Baz; wasn't I the ref who sent you off both times? Well, you did crack him in his dish! Some info for pre 2002 for the 1sts- if you want it!1997-98- Division 3 Champions (undefeated)Plate semis- Captain-Patrick O' Donnell1998-99 - 3rd in Division 2- Plate Winners- Captain- Patrick O'Donnell1999-00 - Promoted to Division 1 for first time ever (2nd in Div 2) - Semi Final of Cuppers- Captain = Jamie Truelove2000-01 - Not sure where we finished in Div 1 (might have got relegated- but it wasn't bottom!), but won the plate for 2nd time in 3 years. Captain- Jamie TrueloveI passed the baton to Al "bite yer legs" Keenlyside when I graduated and I think the 1sts regained promotion to Div 1 and came runners up in Cuppers. The 2nds were formed in 1997-98 and their first capatin was Dirk "Baz" Smith and they finished mid table in Division 6.In 1999-00, Chris Batty was Captain. Not sure where they finished in the league, but they reached the Shield Final.2000-01- As above, but didn't make it through to the final of the Shield.I also was the CUAFL chairman for 2 years. Nice to see Homerton Footy going from strength to strength and still "sticking it up 'em." We all bled blue blood in our games and, I think it is fair to say, firmly establshed Homerton as a footballing force in Cambridge, which you are obvously continuing, which is great. Is that plaque still in the bar?Good luck for the future, lads, and ofcourse, the grils, who also wear the Homerton griffin with pride.JT aka JPT to some (1997-2001)(attacking midfielder in my younger days!)

Hey guys, Good to hear your past revelations and memories of wearing the blue and white. I inherited the website (and passed it on) last year and it was created in 2003. I don't know if there was a website before then but if not i guess it unlikely that Jack (the creator) would have known much about pre 2002.If either of you would like to write a short piece about that time i'm sure we could add it to the history, or if you want to give us profiles and pictures im sure we can add them to the hall of fame at some point! All the best, get down and watch a game n come for a pint if commitments allow.Ben (HCFC captain 2006/2007)

JPT. I remember those days. Back in my first year. You had the target man role!! It looked excellent from between the sticks. Football was better back in our day. I do miss it hugely!! Love to the old skool. Sav

Josh wrote the history bit as far as I remember.....I vaguely recall JPT and Al going all misty-eyed when reminiscing about the good old days... when Wattsy was only 40...

and I'm sure Micky T used to claim that he was the first seconds capt... replaced by Dave "runs-like-a-daddy-long-legs-on-acid" Owen
