I'm looking for Anna Mieningen from Oppland, Norway. Don't know if this is a farm name. Souces tell me that the name derives from germany. Can anyone help. |

Meiningen is a farm. I have Great, Great Grandmother who was Maria Olesdatter Simley of Meiningen. Her paretns were Ole Throndson Simley and Ingri Neilsdatter of Meiningen. Ingri remains a well known woman even today in this area of Valdres. I wonder if your Anna is from the same Meiningen farm. Margaret |
