Welcome back, everyone!One book I'd recommend is Warriors Don't Cry by Melba Patillo, one of the Little Rock Nine. The book is a memoir that recounts that historic school year in Little Rock, Arkansas, when she and 8 other black students were the first to integrate Central High.What a story!I knew they went through a lot that year, but I did not fully understand exactly how much until reading this book. It's a great read, written in vivid detail. |
